The Perlage winery is located in Farra di Soligo, along the Prosecco road, in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG appellation. Seventy kilometers away is the Venice Lagoon, 90 kilometers away is the Dolomites Park. An area rich in natural treasures, breathtaking landscapes and works of art and architecture. <\/p>\n

The vineyards of our 7 Nardi Farm are located among the hills of the municipalities of Farra di Soligo, Refrontolo, Miane and San Pietro di Feletto.<\/p>\n

The soil of the area originates from the uplift of seabeds and is mainly made up of conglomerates of marine origin, marls and sandstones. This composition guarantees the grapes, particularly Glera, a minerality and flavor that is unique compared to any other production area in the province of Treviso. <\/p>\n

Heroic Viticulture<\/h2>\n

In the hilly municipalities of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, the steep slopes on which the vines grow also reach gradients of 70%. Such conditions make heroic effort necessary for vine growers: all activities, from winter pruning to harvesting, are carried out manually with toil, passion and great dedication. A “heroic” vineyard requires about 5 times more effort than a vineyard on the plains. <\/p>\n

The efforts practiced by the winemakers of Conegliano Valdobbiadene in the heroic vineyards are repaid by wines characterized by a marked acidity, verticality and sapidity; capable of standing out for their elegant structure and refinement. Moreover, the man-vineyard relationship, when the latter is tended exclusively by hand, is transformed into an empathetic relationship of extreme care. <\/p>\n

The Prosecco Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, in addition to being a vocated area for the cultivation of Glera and the production of top-quality sparkling wines, were recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 7, 2019. With this recognition, the Prosecco hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are included in the list of cultural landscapes to be protected. <\/p>\n

A symbol of present commitment and hope for the future<\/h3>\n

On the packaging of our organic wines appears, discreet but constant, the oriole.
It is a small migratory bird with an unmistakable appearance – the male has a yellow body, black wings and tail with two yellow lateral spots, black reins, reddish beak and iris -, an indicator of the health of the ecosystem that we want to help regenerate.
Unfortunately, it has long since disappeared from our areas due to anthropization, habitat destruction and pollution produced by the abuse of chemicals that intoxicate the food chain.<\/p>\n

The “Comparepiero” of our grandparents.<\/h3>\n

Its characteristic song, a fluty, modulated whistle, belongs to the peasant tradition we hand down.<\/p>\n

On hot days in the summer months, when all other birds were silent, the song of the oriole came to bring company and relief to the farmer working in the vineyard.<\/p>\n

Imagination then led the winemaker to imagine a dialogue with the oriole to beguile time and fatigue: “Comparepiero ei fati i fighi?”<\/p>\n

Working for the return of the oriole<\/h3>\n

Our choice to produce organic wines and work in harmony with the environment also stems from this: the desire to contribute to a healthy and welcoming area for wildlife.<\/p>\n

The desire, which takes concrete form in the daily commitment, to have ‘Comparepiero’ return to the beautiful Prosecco hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

To still hear its unmistakable song among the vines.<\/p>\n
