Origins

THE ROOTS.

In Farra di Soligo, in the years of the economic boom that took hold after World War II, Afra De Rosso and Tiziano Nardi, already farmers and ranchers, decided to diversify their business and intensify vine cultivation. It is not just a matter of passion for nature and its fruits: they have seven children to support and wish to offer them concrete prospects for the future.

Initially they rely on the conventional viticulture techniques of the time. However, soon Tiziano realizes that chemical pesticides pose a danger not only to the environment, but also to the health of the people living on the land and those who drink their wine.

The Nardi family comes together and, together, decides that a change is necessary: they choose to adopt an organic approach.

The winery is born

THE BUST

In 1985, the seven siblings decided to take a quantum leap while remaining true to their vision and approach in the vineyard and cellar. Thanks to a living legacy from their parents, Antonio, Geminiano, Dino, Rosanella, Ivo, Claudio and Flavio founded Perlage.

It is their vision that sets them apart: they focus on balance with the environment to produce healthy, high-quality wines. The company gradually grows and the Nardi family becomes pioneers of sustainability in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG territory.

Dino, Ivo and Claudio passionately lead the development of Perlage, creating innovative projects such as the first sulfite-free Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG and the world’s first vegan prosecco. The company expands into new markets until it becomes a leader in the production and export of Italian organic wine, achieving a 90 percent export share between the 1990s and early 2000s.

Perlage and the Nardi family are growing together, and 2022 marks the entry of the third generation into the company, ready to make their own contribution to the path taken.

Anna, Sandro and Michele carry on the family values in the winery and in global markets, while Tobia continues to dedicate himself passionately to the family vineyards, with the goal of developing increasingly sustainable and efficient methods of vineyard management.

A daily commitment sustains the continuity of the vision, values and determination that have made the company a global benchmark in the production of high quality organic wines in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG territory.

In every choice, the gaze remains turned to the future, with roots firmly rooted in the past. It is no coincidence that the first product made by the third generation was Tiziano Nardi – Cuvée del Fondatore, a tribute by the grandchildren to their paternal grandfather, a central figure in the company’s history and identity.
