A global view of life on the planet enables the biodynamicist to be able to work with the mineral, plant and animal elements in a way that fits into Nature’s phenomena in a purposeful and, above all, respectful way.
Biodynamic wine is based on the fundamentals ofbiodynamic agriculture, which has its roots in the ideas of Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner. With him the foundations were laid for a “holistic” conception of agricultural activity, in close relationship with the surrounding environment, the whole Earth and ultimately the cosmos.
Perlage’s wines and biodynamic Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco
An essential value is therefore the conscious use of natural forces, with the aim of producing a biodynamic wine born of a true collaboration with Nature. Within this philosophy, Perlage, one of Italy’s best-known organic wine producers, offers in its catalogue two different types of wines made from biodynamically grown grapes.
Col di Manza is a Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato and stands among the flagship wines of the Perlage winery. Borgo Faveri Bianco and Borgo Faveri Rosso are biodynamic still wines; both are Demeter-certified. The quality of a Demeter-certified wine is expressed above all in the vitality of the product. The biodynamic wine elegantly conveys, through its organoleptic characteristics, the personality of its territory of origin and of the biodynamic grapes themselves.
