Sustainability beyond the difficulties, toward innovation
B Corp month, promoted by B Lab Italy, is coming to a close with the March 2025 edition, and for us at Perlage it was a great opportunity to strengthen ties with other B Corp certified companies in our region. Together with Pasticceria Filippi Srl SB, Progesto Srl SB, Ways Tours Srl SB and Kymos Srl SB, we had the opportunity to bring our commitment to sustainability and amplify the message of a positive and responsible way of doing business through a coordinated and shared communication project.
Sustainability is never an easy road. It requires commitment, constant dedication and a willingness to improve to build a more just and equitable future. B Corp companies in the Veneto region are a concrete example of this commitment, and we are happy to tell you their stories.
Each company has a unique vision of sustainability, which enriches the group with a wealth of values and knowledge.
For us at Perlage, sustainability means innovating to protect biodiversity. Every day we face the challenges of climate change, which threaten Italy’s biodiversity and food wealth. Our answer is to offer organic and vegan wines, reducing our environmental impact and promoting a sustainable lifestyle in tune with the local community and territory.
PASTICCERIA FILIPPI has experienced firsthand the importance of continuous improvement. After a drop in its B Impact Assessment score, it worked determinedly to analyze its processes, engage employees and suppliers, and measure its carbon footprint. As a result of this effort, it overcame difficulties, reached 100 points, and adopted sustainable solutions, such as expanding its photovoltaic park and supporting the REDD+ project in Colombia. A journey that goes beyond the numbers, turning into a true corporate way of life.
PROGESTO has made sustainability an opportunity for all. Since 2020, it has become a Benefit Corporation and obtained B Corp certification. It has been able to enthusiastically spread the values of regenerative companies, creating a movement that has pushed other companies to integrate responsible practices. From this need was born a corporate branch that today supports numerous companies in transforming their business models.
WAY TOURS faced one of its biggest challenges: ensuring that its suppliers shared the same sustainability standards. Over the past three years, it developed a structured process to identify and select suppliers, create a questionnaire on sustainable practices, and initiate a dialogue to raise awareness. For selected suppliers, in-depth audits were conducted. This effort has helped to build a network of partners who are more attentive to environmental and social impacts.
Finally, KYMOS has put people at the center. It has created a work environment that promotes team well-being through personal and collective training, counseling, and team building activities. For its clients, Kymos is committed to making the use of technology peaceful, offering practical support through training and informational materials.
Sustainability is not a linear path, but a process made up of daily choices, adaptations and new awareness. It is a dynamic balance between innovation, responsibility and the ability to continually review one’s actions. B Corp companies, such as those described above, demonstrate that it is possible to make a difference, creating a positive impact on the local and global community.
