A new approach for Perlage’s seventh Sustainability Report
It is with pride that we publish our seventh Sustainability Report, the result of all our dedicated efforts to develop low-impact projects and initiatives.
For us, the Sustainability Report has always been a key means of communication for sharing our environmental, social and economic commitments in a streamlined and transparent way. The 2023 Report, while adhering to these principles marks a change in how we report.
Starting this year, the guidelines used are based on the standards published by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) an independent international organization that supports companies and organizations in reporting their impacts by providing a common, global language. The use of this system of Standards helps companies communicate their sustainability contributions and impacts with greater clarity and transparency.
For Perlage, the use of GRI Standards marks a further step toward more structured sustainability initiatives and an intermediate step leading to the future use of ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards drafted by the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group in short EFRAG) required by the new regulations.
Through this new mode, we have been able to identify and explore a number of issues of interest to various stakeholders, give greater emphasis to topics such as for example waste management, benefit initiatives and events, and product design, and provide more information regarding corporate organization and governance.
Some milestones achieved in 2023:
– + than 100 hours of training in HEALTH and SAFETY
– 86% of the waste produced by Perlage is recycled
– Nearly 40% of our wines are bottled in lighter bottles ( about 550gr)
These are just some of the data you will find in the Sustainability Report 2023 published in the ABOUT US/ TRANSPARENCY section.
