The B Corps’ #UnlockTheChange campaign is back: focusing on the regenerative economy, climate, and gender equality

3 min read
It is possible to change the world with organic wines and Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco.

Starting June 28, the new national campaign will span digital, print, and local initiatives

The B Corp community is growing steadily around the world, including in Italy. Not only in terms of the number of certified companies, but also in public opinion, language, awareness, and the commitment of all those who want to accelerate the now inevitable transition toward a new socio-economic paradigm—one that is regenerative rather than extractive—that creates lasting and shared prosperity for all.
In a vision that balances impact and profit, based on the “Stakeholder Company” model (which creates value for all stakeholders, not just shareholders), the goal and mission of a B Corp is to use business as a positive force for change, built on the key values of responsibility, transparency, interdependence, inclusion, and innovation.

A genuine movement of companies that, through their activities and projects, generate a positive social and environmental impact on a daily basis—an impact that is periodically measured so they can move toward their goals on a path of continuous improvement— B Corps positively influence and inspire—with a spirit of independence—other companies and sectors: there are now thousands of certified B Corps worldwide, and over 140,000 companies using their tools across 153 sectors and 77 countries. In Italy today, there are over 120 B Corps, and 4,000 globally.

In this context, as the B Corp model gains traction in the public eye (in an “unprecedented” 2020, many media outlets introduced it to the general public, highlighting the system’s value), a new communication campaign is being launched that continues to highlight the values, spirit, and actions that characterize B Corp companies, with the aim of informing, influencing, and mobilizing the private sector on the key issues that must guide and accelerate the transition to an advanced and sustainable business model: the focus is on climate and gender equality, both real emergencies that must be addressed in a profound and radical manner.

The campaign will run—from today through the end of the year—across print ads in major national newspapers, digital platforms, social media, podcasts, and a series of activities that will peak in October and November. These are aimed directly at the business world, but also at raising awareness of a movement made up of companies well-known to Italians, which, through #UnlockTheChange, aim to share their model for creating positive social and environmental impact, to help you make virtuous choices in your daily life.
