New Manzoni Intersection – Zero Traffic Volume

We are pleased to announce the release of Iconis.
Iconis is an Incrocio Manzoni wine created to honor the memory of Claudio Nardi, a founding partner of Perlage in 1985 and a driving force behind the winery’s technological development.
Claudio deeply loved Incrocio Manzoni grapes and always sought to showcase them to the fullest.
Iconis is therefore our way of remembering and celebrating Claudio, dedicating this unique product to him as a token of gratitude for his hard work at Perlage.
For those who haven’t yet had the chance to taste it, we’ve included a brief overview below to help you discover Iconis.

DESCRIPTION:

Iconis is made from a selection of the finest Incrocio Manzoni 6.0.13 grapes.
It is a sugar-free wine (zero dosage) produced using the extended Charmat method and aged in a tank on its lees for over 9 months.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:

Iconis is characterized by an extremely fine and elegant effervescence. The dominant aromas in the glass are those of tropical fruits and pineapple in syrup.
On the palate, aromas of candied citron peel and salt emerge, followed by a long note of licorice.
Iconis is a limited production of 4,000 bottles. Its name, of Latin origin (= “of the icon”), was chosen to express its connection to the land and the essence of Claudio in its entirety.
The Icona wine, therefore, serves as the symbol of Perlage and embodies the winemaking philosophy that Claudio has always cherished.
